  • Beau Champs is a modern house situated in quiet wooded countryside just outside the beautiful village of Marminiac, in the north Lot and on the edge of the Dordogne/Périgord region

    It is a very convenient base for visiting Dordogne and Lot highlights including the picturesque and historic towns of Domme, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac and St Cirq la Popie. 

    With an exclusive pool overlooked by a covered terrace and over 1ha of garden, Beau Champs is an ideal location for a family holiday in beautiful peaceful countryside. 

  • 4 bedrooms  ( 2 double, 2 Twin)  - 1 double and 1 twin at Ground floor level, 2 doubles at the Lower level (see floorplan) 

    2 bathrooms with walk in showers.

  • The private Swimming Pool measures 9 x 4m in a fenced enclosure. Also in the enclosure is a pergola offering easy poolside shade.
     Water purity is maintained with chlorine. .

    A charcoal barbecue is also provided, which along with a large table and chairs makes outdoor family dining a pleasure. 

    The garden extends to 1 hectare (over 2 acres) which guests can explore at their leisure, and there is plenty of space for games and activities. .

    The nearest larger towns are: Gourdon 20km,  Monpazier 25km, Cahors 35km, Sarlat 35km,  

    The north Lot and Dordogne areas offer a wealth of attractions to all types of visitor: The rural location makes just the escape worthwhile, whilst miles of quiet country roads around make exploring by bicycle a natural attraction.

    The spectacular scenery of the Dordogne river is only a short distance away with plenty of opportunity for fishing, canoeing/kayaking, leisure cruises and other water-based activities.

    The historic towns of Sarlat, Domme, Gourdon and Souillac each have their own charm and appeal - the spectacular views over the river and Dordogne valley from Domme and the tiny historic streets of the old parts of Sarlat stand out as 'must do' places to visit. Each village has its own charm, and guests will always have their own favourites.

      

    Besides the local towns, also within easy reach are Rocamadour and the Causse de Quercy, several cave systems including the world-famous Lascaux caves: Information on these and other attractions can be found in the Area information above, and there will be information for guests at the gite to help you plan your stay.

    There are castles aplenty to visit - several on the Dordogne river, including the very visible Montfort, or venture into the scenic hills of the south Périgord to find the complete castles of Biron and Bonaguil as the architecture and scenery begins to change from Périgourdine to Quercy

      

    Markets are always popular, with market days well publicised: For food lovers especially the journey south to Prayssac market on Friday will be rewarded with delicious foods from the town market and several other artisan producers in the town as well.

  • Booking notes

    Linen & Towels -  Bed linen and Towels are included in the price of your booking.  Pool towels and baby linen are not included unless otherwise stated. 

    Arrival & Departure - Guest are requested not to arrive before 16h00 on the day of arrival, and to depart by 10h00 on the day of departure.   Bookings in July and August will run from SATURDAY TO SATURDAY. 

    Cleaning -  There is no fixed cleaning charge at this property. Guests are requested to leave the property in the same state of cleanliness as it was found, and to co-operate with any departure requests from the Managers. 

    End of Stay cleaning may be available on request: It is at the discretion of the Caretakers/Managers, and must strictly be arranged in advance of your stay. Please contact HL for further information and cost. 

    Security Deposit -  A Security Deposit of £500 will be added to your invoice.  This will normally be repaid during the week after your booking ends.

How To Book

Making a provisional booking - Choose a currency and then click on the start date of your holiday, then on the departure date. A pop-up box will appear with the price & availability. (Note mandatory changeover dates for some seasons.) Click "BOOK NOW" that will show the provisional booking form to fill out.  You will then see the price but you will not be asked to make payment at this time. 

Your completed provisional booking form will be acknowledged, and we will confirm availability with the Property Managers.  Once confirmed, we will request a DEPOSIT, 20% of the Rental, and hold your booking for up to 3 days. 

The booking is complete when your deposit is received. Then you will receive an Invoice for the balance plus Security Deposit and any extra items ordered, to be paid no less than 8 weeks before Arrival date (or immediately if the booking is less than 8 weeks away) 

When payment of the invoice is received, directions and access information for the property will be sent.

Payment can be made in £GBP, €EUR or $USD via bank transfer or credit credit. (UK debit cards are also accepted.)  For any other payment method - please contact us
