    Situated conveniently in Charente Maritime, Bétou has excellent road access north towards Angoulème, west towards Nantes, La Rochelle and the Vendee coast, South towards Bordeaux and the beaches of the Gironde or East towards the Dordogne.

    Good standard family accommodation with a good sized 12 x 6m private pool  and a large garden to enjoy. 

    A redundant railway line nearby has been made into 'La Voie Vert de Haute Saintonge', and offers 35km of safe off road level cycling to explore from Clérac to Barbezieux with picnic and rest areas along the way. 

    Other local attractions are the Chateau de Montguyon and the Leisure lake at Beauvallon, with an inland beach, boat hire, bars and restaurants. 

    A little further afield are the impressive fortifications at Blaye, on the coast of the Gironde, the spa town of Jonzac and the city of Bordeaux. 

  • A spacious open plan living area with a good sized fitted kitchen occupies most of the living space. This includes  hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a good selection of other utensils. 



    A satellite televisionis available, and there is internet wifi. 

    There are two sleeping areas:  

    A spacious ground floor double bedroom 

    A twin ( 2 singles ) on the mezzanine over the kitchen. 

    A spacious Shower room completes the indoor accommodation 

    A cot, high chair and other baby equipment is available on the premises.

  • Immediately outside the door to the Living area is a small terrace which enjoys shade in the heat of the day, and there is outdoor furniture for outdoor dining or lounging. 



    The private Swimming Pool measures 12 x 6m  which adjoins the open level garden with plenty of space for games and play. 
     Water purity is maintained with chlorine and the pool can be heated. There is a solar poolside shower.

    A charcoal barbecue is also provided.

  • A modern barn conversion, Bétou is on the edge of the village of Orignolles, about 2km west of Montguyon in Charente Maritime. 

    Excellent road links  access north towards Angoulème, west towards Nantes, La Rochelle and the Vendee coast, South towards Bordeaux and the beaches of the Gironde or East towards the Dordogne. This makes  Bétou a great base for anyone exploring or searching for that dream new home.

  • Booking notes

    Linen & Towels -  Bed linen and Towels are included in the price of your booking.  Pool towels and baby linen are not included unless otherwise stated. 

    Arrival & Departure - Guest are requested not to arrive before 16h00 on the day of arrival, and to depart by 10h00 on the day of departure.   Bookings in July and August will run from SATURDAY TO SATURDAY. 

    Cleaning -  The tariff includes 2 hours of cleaning. Any additional cleaning required will be charged against the Security Deposit at €25/hour. 

    Security Deposit -  A Security Deposit of £450 will be added to your invoice.  This will normally be repaid during the week after your booking ends.

How To Book

Making a provisional booking - Choose a currency and then click on the start date of your holiday, then on the departure date. A pop-up box will appear with the price & availability. (Note mandatory changeover dates for some seasons.) Click "BOOK NOW" that will show the provisional booking form to fill out.  You will then see the price but you will not be asked to make payment at this time. 

Your completed provisional booking form will be acknowledged, and we will confirm availability with the Property Managers.  Once confirmed, we will request a DEPOSIT, 20% of the Rental, and hold your booking for up to 3 days. 

The booking is complete when your deposit is received. Then you will receive an Invoice for the balance plus Security Deposit and any extra items ordered, to be paid no less than 8 weeks before Arrival date (or immediately if the booking is less than 8 weeks away) 

When payment of the invoice is received, directions and access information for the property will be sent.

Payment can be made in £GBP, €EUR or $USD via bank transfer or credit credit. (UK debit cards are also accepted.)  For any other payment method - please contact us
