Situated off a very quiet country road, Laboissière is an 18th Century farmhouse of quality and substance in 2ha (5 acres) of wooded parkland, and sleeps up to 14 people, making it ideal for larger family groups holidaying together, or with good terms available for out of season, excellent for smaller numbers seeking a spacious property.
The location on the south side of the Seoune Valley offers excellent views, and road access to Lauzerte to the south and Montaigu de Quercy to the north is very easy, making Laboissière an ideal base for exploring the delights of the Quercy countryside. Equally, the spacious interior and large grounds offer great opportunities to relax without travelling: Nearby woodland offers rambling, and the gentle nature of the countryside makes cycling a pleasure.

Approaching Laboissière, you enter a wide splay in front of the house with ample parking for a number of vehicles well off the road.
Facing the house, the sleeping accommodation splits conveniently between two wings - To the left accommodation for 4 people in a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, and to the right accommodation for 8 people in two double (Master including King size bed) and two twin bedrooms. A further two supplementary single beds are available, making the maximum capacity 14 if required.
These bedrooms are complemented by 3 Bathrooms and a Shower room.
All sleeping accommodation is on the ground level with very few steps and slopes, and so Laboissière is suitable for those with mobility issues.
The Kitchen, Dining and Sitting accommodation are in the central part of the house making Laboissière ideal for families holidaying together to have their own spaces in this impressive country house.
The well equipped and spacious kitchen includes a hob and oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also an informal dining area, and the original stone sink makes an impressive feature.
Laboissière stands in 2ha (5 acres) of parkland in a wooded landscape, and there are mature trees throughout.
Both wings of the house have terraces to enjoy the environment and there are delightful views across the Seoune valley and beyond.
The main feature of the parkland is the Swimming pool and sun terrace: The 11 x 5m pool has Roman steps for easy access, and is protected with an alarm. Water purity is maintained with chlorine.
Barbecues, both gas and charcoal, are available for al fresco dining, and there are many quiet corners for guests to escape the rest of their party if they wish to. A table tennis table is also provided for guests.
Beyond the boundaries is a quiet country road, with the nearest village being Touffailles, but the nearest village of substance is Lauzerte, about 7km by road away.

At Laboissière you are in the heart of the vale to the south of the river Lot, with medieval bastide villages all around, and miles of quiet countryside with spectacular views. The nearest village of consequence, Lauzerte, is one of 'Les Plus Beau Villages de France', and is renowned for its attractive market square and medieval buildings - and that is before you look over the parapet of the defensive walls to enjoy the views.
Food and drink will never be far away, with the agricultural landscape growing a wide range of crops including sunflowers, nuts, soft fruit, melons and traditional crops. There are also several vineyards and wineries in the area, particularly as you travel north towards the River Lot, and many are open for tastings and direct purchase.
Most villages and towns have at least a weekly market where producers are keen to sell excellent fresh produce of all kinds, and few can resist these: Being held early in the morning, almost inevitably a trip to the market will include the boulangerie for the freshest most delicious bread.
There is plenty of history and natural history to explore, and there are water parks at Montcuq and Montaigu de Quercy with safe bathing areas off sandy beaches, boats, bars and restaurants. More adventurous water activities are found along the River Lot, Port Penne near Penne d'Agenais being one of the busier centres.
Walking is well catered for, with the Route de St Jacques de Compostela running nearby, and plenty of information on walking is available from the local tourist information offices and various places online.
